We rarely have a water-less forced hot air furnace used
but we have right now that has been upgraded to 3/8"
thick front and end caps, for greater strength and durability.
It also has heat shields on both sides of the firebox to better
protect it from the heat of hot fires like coal, aged locust and
hedge wood produce. This one furnace is $1000 less than new
but this one is better than a new one.
Remember, there is NO extra charge for any color or combination of 17 different colors that you want!

Some photos, are of our original model, with the smaller door.
The sides, corners, roof and roof trim can be different colors - or all the same. Most people do the corners and roof trim the same color. It ties it all together nicely.
I suggest that the front be a darker color - preferably charcoal gray or black and that usually makes a nice corner and trim color as well. Why? The front has the firebox door and smoke stains above the door WILL make it uglier over time.
Many people prefer a darker color on the front to avoid smoke stains.

This round firebox takes less welds than a typical square firebox that is made from six flat slabs of steel, with 12 welds to put it together. Welds are where leaks usually start and there are only two in this model. One in the back and one in the front to weld the end plates onto the cylinder.
You will see that the chimney drops down into the firebox 14 inches. This makes this a gasifier furnace because it creates a huge secondary burn chamber which traps the gases and the smoke and the heat so that they don't rush out the chimney and escape; wasting precious energy. Every time the boiler fires up, it burns off the gases and extracts that much more energy into your water, to your benefit.
The quarter inch thick chimney will not get damaged when throwing in wood. It would take a sledge hammer to do anything to it. Just put wood to the left and the right of the chimney and also in front, for best results.
